Get Rid of Dust and Dirt
In everyday routine, our carpets are exposed to a lot of alien substances, including dust, rust and sometimes even mud. Leaving them in their place creates havoc on minute level, and thus are our rooms filled with sweaty and dusty odors. The best way to get rid of these is to vacuum your carpet regularly. In case you are cleaning thoroughly, then vacuuming before doing any other thing is a must! In cases where the reader doesn’t have a vacuum at hand, a brush with strong bristles and teeth can be useful in the task too. In the alternative, one can opt for cheap carpet cleaning brushes, especially designed for the task.
Another principle to follow is to vacuum slowly and thoroughly, giving the vacuum enough time to do its job in the best manner possible. Once you have vacuumed the carpet, use a lint roller to collect leftover hair particles and dust crumbs.
The other problem faced by most people with carpets in the house is coffee stains or oil stains. These are cheeky vermins, who take a lot of time, expertise, and patience to go away. In case there’s a new spill, don’t waste time, and try to soak the spilled coffee, etc away with old towels or napkins. Repeat the process unless you see positive results. In case there are strong oily remains, sprinkle baking soda liberally, let it sink in for at least an hour and soak away all the oil, then vacuum it up. The only thing to keep in mind is that one should never actually rub stains with a solid substance, because it can lead to the stain’s absorption by carpet fibers, thus making it almost impossible to get out.
The final tip to offer from our side is using mixtures of water + baking soda, or water plus vinegar. Distilled Vinegar, as well as Baking Soda’s paste, can help take out stains more efficiently than one can imagine. If we break it all down, it is all about chemistry and the processes that go around in it. Soak the stained piece with distilled vinegar or soda’s paste, let it sink, and then clean it up with a cleaning cloth. In case there are leftovers from soda, try vacuuming it up!
